Day 21 was the hardest yet! It was my resolve that kept me in the game. I almost gave up for the second time. I did all my morning stuff, my kid had a break down my wife needed my help for. I stayed at home instead of getting the jump on the day for work.
I ended up working in the field for almost 13 hours and didn’t get home until 9pm. Then had to go to the gym and get a progress pick to finish the day. I was utterly exhausted after working all day in the sun and driving 350 miles. Of course it was the first day of any heat in South Texas and it was over 100 degrees on the work site.
All of that made me want to quit. I drove straight through home without a stop and went straight to my room, changed into my workout clothes and walked right back out the door in less then 10 minutes. Five minutes later I was in the gym, started a watch, and made it 45 minutes of core and leg work. I’ll admit I sandbagged the weights a lot, but I did sets, and did the reps.
On Day 22 I slept in and am now behind on everything, but proud that I didn’t quit last night.
