So the days continue.
Today was a hard day at work that went faster and easier then I thought. The only hard part was technology and the lack of it working for me. Microsoft is changing the business stuff again and somehow every time that happens I’m the one that finds the problems with it and it makes me look like I can’t do technology to one of my new bosses. Very aggravating… thanks Microsoft.
Other then that annoyance during the day, everything else went as planned and was easier and faster then I had planned or thought it would. So I got a little extra done for the real job today. And I got to play with lots of electricity at the rig site! Always fun.
Everything worked when I left. Doesn’t mean someone won’t mess with it and break it before my guys get there to do work.
When your day goes well do you know what you are going to do with the rest of your time? To you blow it, or be productive? Do you continue to make stuff happen or sit around and do nothing?
For years I would sit around and waste the extra time I was given. Before the 75 Hard Challenge there wasn’t much driving me to continue once I got done what needed to be done.
After the original challenge and now with the ongoing round 3 challenge I have plenty to do. And keeping to my schedule is one of the things to keep doing.
I’ve taken to the rule of halves for saving money. If you come into an extra large some of unexpected money, save half and blow the other half. I’m doing that with extra time I have in my schedule when I get things done early. I use half of the extra time to get something done and the other half play a video game, play with the dog, or just watch TV.
What do you do with found time?
