Today is another day. Started out with reading and stretching and then off to my first workout. A good walk in the park. Yes, my workouts aren’t killer cross fit or Marine Corps style, I’m kind of old and out of shape. So I’m working slowly on that to avoid injury.
I enjoyed the walk and the pace was good. I’m looking forward to my gym workout this afternoon where I should be back over 400lbs in the deadlift. Which is exciting to me. My goal is to do 500 for reps and 550 for a single. Hopefully be able to hit that at the end of the year. And actually this challenge is slowing down my power lifting goals because you can’t workout everyday twice a day and expect to make as many gains in pure strength as you could with more rest.
My diet is going well and I’m enjoying it. I can still go out to dinner with the family and do other things. I just can’t eat crap when I go to the movies, have dessert, or eat appetizers. I do miss some of the fried appetizers I use to eat, but other then that I don’t really miss anything. Got my diet out of the 4-Hour Body by Tim Farris (affiliate link) and it is working. Now as well as I want. The weight loss and radical body transformation isn’t quite what I want it to be but the scale is going down and my muscle mass is going up or staying the same. So it is working.
Today is another around the house day for work and should be easy. Things like, put stuff in storage and wash the truck are on my work list. Yes it’s a company truck and the company has been storing stuff in my garage because of weird space issues.
Water will be easy and so will the diet, even though I’m hungry right now and it’s not time for lunch yet.
I’m just waiting for next week and the week after. That will be hard and long for work and I’ll be sneaking in my 75 Hard workouts, diet, and reading. I almost have to be under the radar for them because the boss will want to go out to eat and a bunch of other stuff.
