Day 44 and still going strong. Enjoyed the workout this morning and found this weird bird on my walk:
Some times you just have to stop and smell the roses. I enjoyed seeing the big bird and then watching as 2 smaller birds where harassing it. My guess is the big bird was eating the chicks or eggs. The cycle of life.
The walk was good this morning. Everything started late, and then I had to wait for the computer even longer to start writing because the kid and wife wanted to use it before they had to go. I’m patiently starting my work day almost 2 hours late.
I’m trying to have a good attitude about it and push through. This week is the week for little setbacks because next week will be crazy busy for work for me. But I’m looking forward to the challenge. I do better work under pressure so hopefully I’ll get a lot done.
Water was easy yesterday. I drank well over a gallon and still wanted more. So this seems to be easy. I do still need to pay attention to it so I don’t miss drinking. If I do I’ll just force feed it to myself but that isn’t very fun.
Workouts are going well. I hit my goal in the gym last night for deadlifts. Honestly I wasn’t sure with the workout schedule I have (2 a day) that I could make progress in the power lifting portion I was just hoping not to go back too far in my 75 days.
This morning the scale was down to 331! Which is 14 pounds down from when I started. Still not perfect, but very good and I’ll take it. Now that the scale has started to move down I hope it will keep going and I’ve gotten through the plateau I was on for a couple weeks. Now I’m hopeful that the scale will keep going down about a pound every other day for the rest of the challenge.
At the end of the challenge I’m going to keep the diet, reading, and water. I’ll do a little better planning for powerlifting in the gym and do 4-5 workouts a week instead of 14. They will be harder and more focused, but will help me push the weight up faster.
Today is just a simple grind day that will get done.
