I’m over 10% through! I’m on the down slide. 65 days and a wake up as we use to say in the Marine Corps. I can take it. I can do it.
Day 10 was good and bad for me. I started semi on time and got to my protein shake and water, then stopped for my one soda allowed a day. I drank it in the morning instead of midday like I had set up in the beginning. So I’ll have to watch that and push it back to midday.
That’s really not a bad thing, because it’s not a cheat, but it’s a slippery slope. My friend and Pastor Zak from Revolution Church (my church home, check it out), says you should put the line of things you don’t want to do way back so that if you slip a little it’s not a major fail. He normally uses this as an example to be faithful to your spouse and he will not be alone with another women, ever. That way nothing can ever happen. And if somehow he messes that up and ends up alone with a women out to eat or in a car that is his slip. Most of us would say that is no big deal, and it’s not, but if he keeps that as the line there is no way he can cheat on his wife or be accused or cheating on his wife (he is a Pastor and people do accuse people of stupid things).
Water was good for Day 10. After my mess up of day 8 and having to chug it I’ll keep a head of that one.
Food is getting easier, just have good things around and eat as much of that as you want or until you are full.
Reading is easy as long as I get to it. It’s still hard with my 9 year and wife always trying to talk to me during my reading time. It’s like they have a homing device that tells them, now is the time to talk to me. But as soon as I get a couple pages in, it’s easy. I just have to remember to do it in the morning. I actually left it to the night today and that sucked trying to squeeze it in before bed. The wife just wanted to talk to me about everything at that time. So in the morning it is everyday.
Pictures are easy. I created the habit of getting the picture and the scale at the same time, before I take a shower every day. And with two workouts a day, I need a shower every day. Now that summer is coming and the weather is turning her in Texas, I’ll have to start that twice a day. That will make the way in and picture easier.
I hope you are trying and seeing success in your 75 Hard Challenge. I’m loosing weight like crazy (for me). And loving that feeling. This morning I was 336.8 down from my heaviest last month of 352.8. Now it seems like I can see 300 pounds from here. And that is my goal by the end of 75 Hard. My lifetime goal is back to 245 fighting weight. That’s where I was in 2002 to go fight with the Marines and loved that weight. With this eating program I can get there. I have no thoughts of changing my diet once the challenge is done, but I do plan to go back to training in the gym hard once the challenge is over.
