Day 75 of 75 Hard

Today is actually day 77 as I write this. I’m doing good and have replaced the 5 things todo for the 75 Hard Challenge with 5 things todo on a Power List. Yes I got this concept from Andy over MFCEO Podcast just like the challenge. But it’s great.

I fell off the wagon on day one for the diet. I stopped at walmart hungry and bought fat kids’ Hostess cup cakes. Funny thing is that I use to enjoy getting a snack like that on the way to the gym and thought it was helping me preform better in the gym. Well, after yesterday there is no way that ever helped me. I felt horrible for a couple hours after during an after my workout. Not going to do that again. It’s amazing what the human body can get use to and still survive.

So I’m done with that. My new list:

  1. Miracle Morning from Hal Elrod and his book Miracle Morning
  2. The Slow Carb Diet from Tim Farris and his book The 4-Hour Body
  3. Drink a Gallon of Water
  4. Workout Every Day
  5. Track my Time from Laura Vanderkam and her book Off the Clock

I want to continue my growth and that of my families as I go through more challenges.

I’m doing better in the Gym already now that I cut my workouts down to one a day, but the 75 Hard Challenge wasn’t really physical, but mental.

After doing these 5 simple things for 75 Days:

  1. Strict Diet – No cheating, even one bite, and No Alcohol
  2. 2 Workouts per Day – Both at least 45 minutes and 1 has to be outside
  3. Read 10 Pages per Day – Read a non-fiction self help or Business book
  4. Drink 1 Gallon of Water per Day – No exceptions, and nothing counts but plain water
  5. Take a progress picture everyday – So you can see you progress at the end

Here are my results:

  • I feel better then ever
  • My wife is trying to loose weight and get in shape
  • I’ve spent more time with the kid over the 75 days then I thought possible
  • I’ve read more books in the 75 days then I think I did last year
  • I learned that I can still endure anything because I’m mentally tough
  • I lost 17.7 pounds of body mass (and I could lose a lot more, but it’s a great start)
  • I brought my body fat percentage down by 1.4% (while loosing weight)
  • I’ve decided to keep the disciple I gained from doing the challenge to keep going on a lot of the things I thought I’d give up I’m going to continue so I can reach my life’s goals and then make more higher goals working towards my ultimate potential

I would have never thought I’d feel this good in my life again. I feel like I’m 20 and have all the time in the world to conquer it. But even better with a little age comes wisdom, and I am going to use that wisdom to actually grow my personal business, my professionalism inside the company I’m working at, make my relationships and my family better, and become physically strong and in shape again.

75 Hard I have Conquered,
