Here comest day 50! Can’t wait.
But for now, it’s just another day. My trip for work got cancelled and now I’m at home and it should be easy. Which means I have time for this web site and time for my own stuff, which will be really nice. But it also means work will be a little boring.
The challenge is going well. I am starting to get worried about overtraining injuries and that’s my fault for pushing so hard in the gym. I think I’m going to change my workout today to something different that is for a bigger volume and will be easier then just seeing how much weight I can lift. Going as heavy as I can seven days a week is quite the tax on my body. While I take testosterone therapy form my doctor I’m not 20 anymore and can’t kill my body like I use to. So I’m redoing my evening workout to a more body builder regiment for a while, and see how that goes.
Walks are getting easier and easier in the morning which is good and bad. Not as challenging but more restful, insightful, and healing when I was killing myself in the gym seven days a week.
Water has been easy, I just keep drinking.
Food is becoming easier. The only real craving I have is for Monster Energy drinks now. I’ve been drinking two to four a day for the last 10 years before I started this challenge. Now it’s one a day according to the diet I’m on. And now that I’m still craving more then one after almost 50 days I’m thinking they need to go all together. I really should learn to drink coffee it would be so much cheaper and better for me!
Reading is going great. I just finished my second book of the challenge.
Cigars, Whiskey & Whinning Leadership Lessons from General Grant was a fun read. I enjoyed the excerpts from Grants actual hand and the leadership lessons highlighted during the Civil War. Next up I’m reading Off the Clock: Feel Less Busy While Getting More Done because that’s what I want to do, get more done.
Sleep has been easier for me. That was a problem for a while, now I think I’m so beat up that I just want to sleep more and more. I do keep sleeping in late. It’s both good and bad. Sometime great because I need the sleep and other times I’m just behind… like today.
